Maternal and Newborn Health
Preventable Tragedies
Health systems in low-resource settings often struggle to provide timely, responsive care, leading to preventable deaths and complications for mothers and newborns. A key challenge is the failure to detect danger signs early, which delays critical interventions. This issue is compounded by under-resourced facilities, weak referral systems, and a lack of skilled healthcare providers. The slow adoption of life-saving innovations further exacerbates the problem. Addressing these systemic failures is crucial to improving maternal and newborn health outcomes.
