CPHD Reaffirms Commitment to Maternal and Newborn Health at KOGS Society Conference

We at the Center for Public Health and Development (CPHD) were incredibly proud to participate in the annual @TheKOGSSociety conference for the second consecutive year. It was an honor, and it truly reinforced our deep-seated commitment to making sure fewer mothers and newborns die, both here in Kenya and beyond.

Our mission is clear: we want to ensure every woman receives safe, high-quality care when she’s pregnant and giving birth. Being at the KOGS conference, surrounded by so many dedicated professionals, just strengthens our resolve. It’s a vital platform for us to connect, learn, and share how we’re working to improve reproductive health across the region.

“Participating in the @TheKOGSSociety conference for a second year was truly an honor for us,” I can tell you. “Our presence there really highlights how committed we are to tackling the urgent crisis of maternal and newborn mortality. We genuinely believe that by working together and focusing on what we know works, we can ensure every woman gets the safe, high-quality care she deserves. That leads to much healthier outcomes for both moms and their little ones.”

Our continuous involvement in such an important conference shows just how actively we’re participating in the national and regional conversations about maternal and newborn health. We’re constantly advocating for and putting into action programs that are designed to improve healthcare facilities, train healthcare workers, and set up community-based efforts, all with the goal of saving the lives of mothers and their babies.
